I listen to an occasional audio PodCast and watch the occasional video PodCast on my computer. The remainder of my VidCasts, I watch on my 5G 30GB iPod... which I got for "free" from my credit card company. The rest of my audio PodCasts are all listened to on my Palm Treo 680... so is that a phone or an mp3 player. I don't use the phone portion to download PodCasts... yet... I've not been that desperate for content and away from some system with an SD card reader.
Oh, wait. I did download stuff 2 years ago in London using the WiFi on my old Palm. It was midnight, and I was out of content. I was standing by a light pole near a pub surfing local WiFi spots, and finally found one to dl about 3 shows... I was definitely jonesing for content that night.
When I listen to audio PodCasts on my computer, it's because I've other run out of content on my Palm, and am busy dl'ing things for my Palm. I use Google Reader when I do that. I've listened to one PodCast directly from a site in the last month... that'd be episode 15 of Playing for Keeps last night/this morning.
I've converted my wife, 15 year old, 9 year old, two co-workers, and several friend/aqua..aquau...aquai... people I know to PodCasting. I carry the kool-aid in my pocket.
Ohhh... I forgot to mention that I rewired my Honda Insight so that I can plug any audio input into the stereo system. I put an aux/input adapter on to the CD changer input plug. :)
Not so much free as "free". We spent a bunch of money and accrued a bunch of points. So, we didn't have to specifically pay for the PodCast... we just spent a bunch of money on other stuff first.
