The release of Abdul Baset Ali al-Megrahi

I post this blog as a Scotsman and I think I speak for the overwhelming majority of the Scottish public.

I have heard today that there are calls in the United States to boycott Scottish goods and I must say this is perfectly understandable in the circumstances. However, I would implore all of my American friends and colleagues not to take this action.

I completely understand your anger at the release of Abdul Baset Ali al-Megrahi and I completely agree with the sentiment that he should never h… Continue

Kyle & Andrew are nearly there!

Yesterday Kyle had reached Fort William on their way to John O'Groats, they are now on the final stages of their mammoth effort to cycle from Land's End to John O'Groats in 14 days - averaging over 85 miles a day!

I'm sure we all wish them well as they gear up for the final push.

If you want to see the route they've taken you can do so here.

If you would like to show your support by sponsoring them to raise money foContinue

Thanks Gordon - I'm hoping it will be extremely useful for me. I've been jumping into social media with both feet for the past nine months or so to get a feel for what it's all about and looking forward to learning more through your group.
Best wishes
Stephen

Thank you Gordon, I already subscribe via itunes to social Media Podcast. It was very good this week. I will think about putting things on here. I tend to keep my comments on my own blogs and twitter.

Cheers for warm welcome.

Gordon,

Thanks for the welcome - it's a challenge getting a thriving community going when everyone seems to have so many pulls on their time. Went onto smallbizpod (Alex Bellinger) last night and he often show's me what i'm missing. Living in the countryside and with dogwalking and driving both taking increasing time, the audio medium is increasingly important to me. I have to become more dliigent in ensuring I've downloaded sufficient brain-fodder or risk becoming Victor Meldrew.

Hi Gordon, thanks for the welcome!
Been a bit hectic this week as Linden Lab were announcing the first Gold Solution Providers for Second Life and virtual-e is the only one in Scotland. In fact one of only 31 worldwide.
We've also been putting a business park in Second Life for companies who want to get into virtual worlds but don't want to start off with a whole island - nice supported way to begin with! Hey, maybe you should be there? ;-)

Hi Gordon, I hope you are well and that things are keeping you happy and busy. We are stil getting our message out there! we are pushing our 'Marketing Mind Breakthrough' programme to help companies build their future.
So far we have met with over a dozen companies to show them how we can help them and to date every one of them has said it is a brilliant programme. I am also reintroducing myself to the social networking world.

If we can help you or any of your colleagues with anything we would be delighted to help.

Look forward to catching up again. All the best, Jim.
